Review:
The Old Stagecoach Inn is a historic bed and breakfast situated in downtown Waterbury, 15 minutes from Stowe (10.1 miles via Vermont Rte 100 S). The guest rooms are individually-decorated and feature air conditioning with the charm of this 1826 building which is part of the National Register of Historic Places. Most rooms have private baths and all have air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The 12 rooms can also have large sitting areas, fireplaces, easy chairs, skylights, cathedral ceilings, eat-in kitchen alcoves, and four-poster beds.
Some can also connect to create a family suite while others are multi-level accommodations.
Honeymooners who want some extra privacy can also stay in the inn’s cozy cabin with views of Camels Hump. This cabin is around 1,800 square feet and has two bedrooms, a living room, a fieldstone fireplace, a large kitchen, a woodstove, and a well-appointed bath plus laundry. Guests can relax in the library bar or in the elegant parlor. The parlor features original antiques, including a working organ, tapestries, oriental carpets, sofas, and easy chairs plus an African Gray Parrot. The property has free Wi-Fi for the convenience of guests. The day begins with an extravagant full country breakfast featuring eggs, Belgian waffles, fruit, pastries, cereal, juice, sausage, and more. Dine on the outside deck or inside.
