Saaremaa is the 1,032 square mile island in the Baltic Sea just south of Hiiumaa island, a part of the West Estonian Archipelago. It is the largest island in Estonia. The meteorite Kaali fell on the island over 4,000 years ago, creating a massive crater, and the area has seen numerous invaders, Vikings being the most frequent.
