Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Belvedere Palace was established in 1903 as the summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. Today the palace mostly attracts visitors who are interested in art as it holds a large collection of art from both the Middle Ages and the baroque period in addition to some more modern pieces. The Belvedere is a complex of buildings and contains several historic buildings including two baroque palaces, the palace stables and the orangery. The palace grounds are beautifully landscaped and feature decorative fountains, grand wrought-iron gates, and baroque sculptures. Guests are free to tour the museum on their own, however, guided 1-hour tours are also available.
