Since opening its doors to the public in 1989, Zortziko has become one of the leading gastronomic icons of Bilbao and continues to still surprise and impress guests with its classic elegance.
The chef and owner, Daniel Garcia, views the cuisine he serves at his restaurant as an “exploratory journey” to the roots of Vizcayan cuisine, however, adjust flavors to be more in line with seasonality and modern tastes. The dining room of the formal and beautiful restaurant is designed in the French Empire style, yet the conceptual dishes are very much that of the twenty-first century.
