Review:

One of Hobart’s most unusual fine-dining establishments, Dier Makr has built up a solid following of foodie fans. Luckily you do not need to understand or pronounce the name of the restaurant to enjoy the exquisite flavor combinations which feature on the 7-course Chef’s Degustation Menu. Each of the seven or so courses is explained on a chalk board or by one of the restaurant’s enthusiastic wait staff. You can select a bottle of wine from their “wine room” to accompany your meal or enjoy a wine and food pairing experience. The restaurant interior is sleek and sophisticated – a perfect backdrop to the innovative and modern cuisine.
