Review:

Located high on the southern Evelyn Tableland in the Hugh Nelson Range, the Mount Hypipamee National Park is centered around the Mount Hypipamee Crater, a volcanic pipe known as a diatreme, which is thought to have been created by a massive gas explosion. The 230-foot-wide and 452-foot-deep crater is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and covered by a blanket of native green waterweed that is in stark contrast to the stark grey granite walls of the cavity. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, ranging from several different species of possums to high-altitude birds.
