Formerly known as the Australian Aviation Heritage Center, the Darwin Aviation Museum (Australian Aviation Heritage Center) can be found within Darwin International Airport. Here, you will find a display aircrafts and engines that made an impact on Australian aviation. The museum dates back to 1976 when a group of local enthusiasts came together with the goal of preserving aviation relics. Many of them are focused on aircrafts destructed during Cyclone Tracy as well as those used during World War II. Some of the items on display include a Bell AH-1G Cobra, a CAC Sabre, a Hovey Delta Bird, as well as “Darwin’s Pride” or a Boeing B-52G Stratofortress.
