Review:
Sampo's signature dish is the traditional Finnish vendace. Small whitefish are stewed or baked and presented whole on a bed of mashed potatoes, with precisely three slices each of tomato and cucumber, garnished with a slice of lemon. The family restaurant is very popular with locals. It is more than 80 years old and still occupies the same premises. The décor is reminiscent of a by-gone era, as if time had stopped. Other meals include wiener schnitzel, sausage and vegetable patties. Pancakes and ice-cream are options for dessert.
