e you reach the Boso Peninsula you can travel to the summit of the mountain by aerial cable car or hike up to the top through thick forest which is home to abundant wildlife. The view from the look-out point is definitely worth the hike or ride and a visit to the Nihon Dera Temple will reveal two huge stone Buddha which have been carved into the side of the mountain.

As you tour the temple grounds you will see many statues, culminating in the 31-meter tall Great Buddha. You can attend a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony at the Tea House overlooking the cliffs.
