Review:

The Japanese Tunnel Bukittinggi is an interesting historical attraction to visit and was dug by Japanese colonizers between 1942 and 1945. A remnant of the Second World War, the Japanese Tunnel is 1,400 meters long and 2 meters wide and has arsenal storage rooms, jail cells and anti-air defense weaponry in place. The tunnel was built by forced labor, a fact which probably lends itself to the eerie feeling that it still retains until this day. Guided tours are available for visitors who want to be told stories about the Japanese Tunnel as they walk its length, while other travelers are also welcome to explore the tunnel at their own time and pace.
