Frederikshavn is a city in North Jutland known to tourists as a ferry port with routes leaving for Sweden and Norway. The city is also a fishing town, and thus plays a huge role in the local economy. Due to the ferry terminal, many tourists pass through on their way to somewhere else; however, there are a few interesting sights to see if you decide to stick around. Visit the Bangsbo Museum to learn about the Danish Resistance during the second world war as well as the sailing history in the region. You'll also find an old fort with a museum and the Cloos Tower, which is an observation tower with amazing views of the surrounding area.
