Berlin is the capital city of Germany and the country's largest city. The city is best known for its historical significance, lively nightlife, and numerous museums. Even though Berlin was badly damaged during World War II and was divided during the Cold War, the city still has a number of interesting examples of historic architecture dating from several different historic periods. Some of the most popular attractions include the Museumsinsel, the Berliner Dom, the Berlin Zoo, and the Tiergarten. Summer is the most popular time to come, and winter is very cold so it should be avoided.
