Situated within south-central Utah, Capitol Reef National Park offers several campgrounds within the state’s red rock country. This hidden gem is full of bridges, domes, canyons, and cliffs in the Waterpocket Fold, which is a “a wrinkle on the earth” known as a “geologic monocline” that extends nearly one hundred miles. There are three campgrounds available to overnight visitors in the national park. The Fruita Campground is the more developed of the three, surrounded by orchards and adjacent to a river. Each campsite includes a fire pit and picnic table. While RV camping is possible, there are no individual hookups.
