Dunford Bakers actually started in the late 1920’s when widow Hazel Love Dunford began baking and selling bread in her own kitchen. She was baking and her sons were delivering on their bikes and the rest is history. She opened the real bakery in 1931 and started selling not only breads and buns but also donuts, muffins, cookies, brownies and more. Today, Dunford Bakers is working from the huge 50,000 square-foot facility in West Jordan, Utah and maybe the breads are not exactly the same as when mama Hazel was hand-rolling them, but everything is still freshly made and delicious. The bakery is known for its fantastic chocolate donuts and pastries that are, together with a large assortment of breads and sweets, sold in most local stores and restaurants in the West.
