Kickapoo Cavern is a state park located about 22 miles from Brackettville, Texas, opened in 1991. The park has 20 known and explored caves, about ¼ of a mile long, two of them large enough to be considered significant.

Besides caverns, the park has 14 miles of mountain biking trails and 18 miles of birding and hiking trails. There are simple guided tours of the caverns every Saturday.

The park is very beautiful and full of wildlife. As you hike, keep an eye on white tailed deer, gray foxes, raccoons, and rabbits as well as many birds such as the gray vireo and the varied bunting.
