The graceful Art Deco Georgetown Palace Theatre has been a Georgetown landmark for nearly 100 years. Built in 1926 to show early silent movies, the theatre stands tall and proud in the heart of the Georgetown historic district, where it endeavors to bring the joy of live theater to all the residents and visitors to Williamson County. The historic theatre has been extensively restored over the years but still boasts its original marquee. The theatre produces a full calendar of entertainment each year including musicals like Cabaret and Sound of Music, popular comedies and Broadway hits such as “The Play that Went Wrong”.
