Merit Coffee is a popular San Antonio-based coffee shop chain, originally opened in 2008 as Local Coffee by owners Bill Ellis and Robby Grubbs. The coffee shop, which is located on West Avenue, serves up private-label coffees roasted by its Merit Roasting Company, along with a variety of blends by some of the United States' best roasters.
