Sitting on the plains of northwest Texas, Lubbock offers fascinating museums, a buzzing nightlife scene, and some of the best wineries in the state.

The city is also known for being the birthplace of legendary rock n' roll musician Buddy Holly, and visitors interested in his life and music can visit the Buddy Holly Center to view an excellent collection of artifacts and mementos.
