Aiken State Park is located along the region’s South Edisto River and is an ideal destination for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The scenic kayak and canoe 1.7-mile trail meanders its way along the southern fork of the river, drawing paddlers to the state park from all over the region. Along with the kayak and canoe trail, Aiken State Park also consists of four lakes where visitors can fish, three picnic shelters available for rental, and twenty-five campsites.
