The Willard InterContinental Afternoon Tea service has been named as one of the United States' top 10 venues for British-style tea service by Travel Channel, known as one of Washington, D.C.'s most beloved dining institutions. Guests can stop in for tea service at select times throughout the year at the historic 1850 hotel, which is located within a few minutes' walking distance of the White House. An extensive selection of estate and boutique looseleaf teas are provided by the J'enwey Tea Company, accompanied by delectable tea sandwiches stuffed with elegant ingredients such as foie de canard, Chesapeake crab, and champagne grapes. A selection of housemade scones is also served up, along with gourmet tea pastries prepared fresh daily.
