This bed and breakfast feels like a boutique hotel and has been providing guests with easy access to Downeast Maine, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor for over a decade. The overall style of the inn, including the rooms, is clean and fresh with plenty of historical touches. Each of the ten rooms is named after a spice or seasoning and has an elegant feel.
All rooms have iPod docking stations on alarm clock radios, charging stations, L’Occitane bath amenities, flat-screen TVs with DVD layers, complimentary high-speed wireless internet, a carafe of chilled water, and central air conditioning. Other amenities vary slightly according to the room, but can include wooden floors, high ceilings, cozy fireplaces, gas stoves, leather or rattan armchairs, tub/shower combinations, Victorian claw-foot soaking tubs, two-person jetted tubs, love seats, and king or queen beds.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and features Maine-roasted coffee and fresh scones. Main dishes may include Maine lobster quiche, banana ricotta pancakes, a scramble with locally smoked Atlantic salmon, and crème brûlée French toast. All dishes are made to order and guests can always choose between a healthy choice, a sweet dish, and a savory dish. You can also access the guest pantry at all hours for beverages or snacks.
