Review:
The Governor William Sprague Mansion is the former residence of the Sprague family, a financially and politically prominent family in Cranston, as well as the birthplace of two governors of Rhode Island and the present-day headquarters of the Cranston Historical Society. The mansion, which was built back in the year 1790, consists of twenty-eight rooms and features the Carrington Collection of Oriental Art. Among the things for visitors to see during a tour of the William Sprague Mansion, which can be scheduled by appointment, are the authentically restored parlor and the carriage house, which houses pony carts, sleighs, and carriages.
