2. St. Ann Cemetery

The St. Ann Cemetery is maintained and operated by The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence under the division of the Office of Catholic Cemeteries, along with nine other Catholic cemeteries across the state of Rhode Island. Founded back in the 1850’s, the cemetery is the most active of those managed by the Diocese, and is particularly known in the area for honoring wartime veterans in recognition of their sacrifice and selfless service. Situated in Cranston, Rhode Island, the St. Ann Cemetery is located on grounds that encompass over one hundred and ninety-one acres that overlook several different ponds.

3. Governor William Sprague Mansion

The Governor William Sprague Mansion is the former residence of the Sprague family, a financially and politically prominent family in Cranston, as well as the birthplace of two governors of Rhode Island and the present-day headquarters of the Cranston Historical Society. The mansion, which was built back in the year 1790, consists of twenty-eight rooms and features the Carrington Collection of Oriental Art. Among the things for visitors to see during a tour of the William Sprague Mansion, which can be scheduled by appointment, are the authentically restored parlor and the carriage house, which houses pony carts, sleighs, and carriages.

4. Historic Park Theatre

Historic Park Theatre was constructed back in the year 1924 and is recognized as one of the state of Rhode Island’s finest theatrical enterprises.
