Review:

Renowned for being the best spot in the cays for watching the sherbet-hue sunsets, Sundowners restaurant is a casual, seafront eatery and bar with a spectacular glass-walled dining room overlooking the water. Established in 1985, the airy, spacious restaurant serves seasonal dishes of fresh sustainably-caught key lime seafood and locally-caught fish, such as lump crabmeat, sautéed shrimp and lobster, and lobster bisque, along with prime steaks and chops, gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and several vegetarian options. Weekly specials include all-you-can-eat fish fry Fridays and prime rib Saturdays, and a variety of drinks from craft beers, casual wines, and exotic cocktails can be enjoyed on the covered deck, or tropical patio overlooking Florida Bay. Sundowners is open for lunch and dinner daily.
