Review:

The Bull and Beggar is an upscale New American restaurant located within a gorgeous bi-level space in Asheville's River Arts District, owned and operated by The Admiral's Drew Wallace since 2013. The restaurant, which showcases industrial-chic decor and beautiful rustic chandeliers for romantic ambiance, serves up elegant land and sea fare at dinner, cultivated by executive chef Matt Dawes. Entree options include smoked sea bass, corned beef and calves' tongue, Berkshire pork chops, filet mignon, and dry-aged côte de boeuf ribeye with housemade butter and creamed spinach. Shareable hors d'oeuvres and small plates can also be enjoyed by couples, including double-tiered raw bar platters, charcuterie and ploughman's plates, beef tartare, and escargot.
