As you may guess from the name, the Hotel Medieval is a sprawling medieval-style hotel set inside the historic 18th-century Alba Carolina Fortress. The rooms are decorated with antiques and period furnishings, and most of them overlook the hotel's beautiful courtyard. Some also feature oak-beamed ceilings or elegant marble bathrooms with clawfoot bathtubs. The medieval style also extends to the hotel restaurant, which has exposed stone accents, lofty ceilings, and staff in medieval dress. Bicycles can be rented from the front desk, and the hotel staff are happy to help arrange horseback riding sessions at a nearby equitation center.
