Review:
Islas Secas Reserve and Lodge is a newly-opened world-class resort within the Islas Secas, or Dry Islands, archipelago along Panama's Pacific Ocean coastline near the Gulf of Chiriqui. The eco-friendly resort was originally constructed by American entrepreneur Michael Klein, the islands' previous owner, and has been completely overhauled for 2019 after five years of major renovation. Today, the resort is home to nine secluded villas, which offer private beachfront access and amenities such as indoor-outdoor showers, fully-stocked mini bars, and complimentary wireless internet. Gourmet a la carte dining is offered at The Terraza, which is helmed by executive chef Alex Hey Rojas. Other resort amenities include a Hemingway-style bar and lounge and a game room and library. Resort visitors can explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site-designated Coiba National Park or embark on world-class diving, fishing, and snorkeling expeditions. Phone: 800-377-8877
