The Kettle Creek Wildlife Sanctuary was primarily established to provide a safe refuge for various species of small animals, reptiles and birds. Best Things to Do in It covers more than 160 acres of land and provides locals and visitors with a popular outdoor recreational area where you can spend several happy hours enjoying nature. There are around 2.5 miles of well-maintained hiking trails, most of which are suitable for all ages. Pets are not allowed in this preserve in order to protect the resident wildlife. The Black Bear Trail is paved and therefore suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. The park is open daily all year round for hiking and cross-country skiing.
