August Cellars winery is located on Chehalem Mountain, where it forms part of the new Chehalem Ridge AVA. The winery currently produces about 2500 cases of wine each year, and unlike most of their Willamette Valley neighbors, they do not restrict their range to Pinot Noir. The cellars believe that it is important to produce a wider range of big, bold and flavorsome wines which will appeal to a broader spectrum of wine lovers. When you visit their Tasting Room you can select a flight of four wines (from a choice of seven). Examples include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir, Marechal Foch and Portus Augustus.
