Cleverly transforming what could have been an urban eyesore into a relaxing and beautiful public park, the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant Park (Arrowhead Creek Park) separates the city’s essential water treatment plant from the neighboring residential community. Much thought and planning went into designing the punctuated 800ft stone and concrete “garden wall” which protects the facility and separates it from the park. In the park there are several ponds alongside the river, a water feature, places to sit and admire the abundant wildlife and attractive landscaping including an area of meadow land. There are restrooms, picnic tables and walking trails which you can explore.
