McMenamins West Linn Brewpub is a six-barrel brewhouse opened in 1992 in West Linn, Oregon, near the banks of the Willamette River. Its claim to fame is as the birthplace of their signature brew Sunflower IPA. You might be able to find this golden-hued nectar during the summer, when it is re-released, in 22-ounce bottles. McMenamins beers can be enjoyed in house at West Linn, but can also be sampled in 205 other pubs at Oregon City, Sunnyside and Mall. McMenamins West Linn pub is a quirky, whimsically decorated restaurant with artist Scott Young's 40-foot mural of "Golf in the Kingdom." Pets are allowed at the front outdoor seating space. The restaurant offers Northwest-style pub fare that includes the seasonal ingredients from local and regional growers and producers. It includes Tillamook Cheese, Tillamook Ice Cream, Pleasant Valley Pickles, Sheridan Fruit Company, Country Natural Beef and many others. Everything is made onsite, including pizza and soups.
