This architectural jewel was built in 1927 for Dr. Edward H. McLean and his family in modified colonial style and has seventeen rooms, a full basement and attic, two fireplaces, and three full baths. The home has beautiful details including handcrafted woodwork, sculptured wallpaper, elegant fixtures, spacious bedrooms, a sunny conservatory and a full kitchen. The main stairway, the balustrade, doors, windows, sills, and all moldings are hand-made of native walnut. The house has been lovingly restored and itt is used today as an exclusive setting for corporate and social gatherings, special events and celebrations or the perfect, intimate wedding.
