Review:
Crater Rock Museum is a 12,000-foot museum operated by non-profit Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Society. The museum showcases one of the best collection of rocks, gems and minerals on the West Coast. It includes a world-class of minerals, collection of petrified woods, Native American artifacts, fossils and more. The museum has a nice gift shop with the local artists’ artworks, a community meeting rooms, a workshop and exhibit areas. Guided tours are available by appointment. The museum rooms are available for rent for meetings and social gatherings. From time to time, the Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Society offers classes such as a course on the basics of shaping and polishing stones to be used in the jewelry making.
