Review:
Multnomah Falls are one of the nation's most stunning natural waterfalls, roaring more than 610 feet over a drop on the Columbia River near the cities of Dodson and Corbett. The awe-inspiring waterfall, which is located within the impressive Columbia River Gorge, is accessible via the Historic Columbia River Highway and Interstate 84, less than half an hour outside of the city of Portland.
A lovely viewing area lets visitors observe both tiers of the falls, offering information on indigenous Americna legends on how the falls were created by the gods to win the heart of a young princess. The Benson Bridge, named in honor of Portland businessman Simon Benson, stretches across the falls at its first-tier base, offering full views of both tiers. The historic 1925 Multnomah Falls is home to a delicious Northwestern cuisine restaurant, a United States Forest Service Information Center, and a lovely gift shop.
