The versatile 10,000-square-foot space scales to fit any size event with a maximum capacity of 400 seated dinner guests or 700 standing guests, including the patio area. Alberta Abbey is northeast Portland’s tony performance and event center. The modern auditorium has theater seating for 400 (250 on the main floor, 150 in the balcony). The 1925 Columbia Edgewater Country Club is an ideal indoor/outdoor space for traditional and classic weddings. Ceremonies may be held either on the front lawn or in the ballroom. Outdoor ceremonies can be held at Abigail’s Garden or the Veiled Garden. Both have brick patios and white gazebos tucked into landscaped areas surrounded by trees and shrubs. They offer a level of privacy not often found at outdoor ceremonies. Abigail’s Garden is the more formal of the two. A reception tent is set back from the ceremony space. It’s surrounded by lush landscaping and has a checkerboard dance floor and seating for up to 300 guests. Abernethy Chapel and the ballroom are simple, classic spaces for indoor weddings seating 280 guests.
