The Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard in the town of Dundee, New York is a pioneer in both winemaking and viticulture within the state’s Finger Lake Wine Country. Established by Hermann Wierner, a German-born winemaker, the vineyard has acquired both national and international attention for its sound growing practices and wine quality. Visitors can stop by the tasting room, which offers views of part of the winemaking process, to sample a variety of Rieslings, white wines, red wines, dessert wine, and sparkling wine.
