Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Tarrytown Lighthouse, also known as the Kingsland Point Lighthouse or the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse, at one time was situated about a half-mile off the shore, built to warn boats from the dangerous shoals of the Hudson River’s east side. However, years of landfall have now moved the shoreline closer to about only a few feet from the lighthouse. Today, tourists and locals alike can visit the Tarrytown Lighthouse and take a tour of the structure. For anyone wanting to get a look at the outside of the lighthouse, possibly the best views can be found in the Kingsland Point Park.
