Located on one of the oldest, continually farmed sites in New York State, the Queens County Farm Museum is both fun and educational. This is a great place for city kids to get up close and personal with the resident farm animals, enjoy country pursuits like hay rides and learn all about how their food is produced. Resident farm animals include chickens and hens, llamas, sheep, goats, pigs and honey bees. You can see how an apiary works and learn more about the vital role that bees play in agriculture. Children will also enjoy taking part in the Farm Scavenger Hunt. Entry to the farm is free and everyone is welcome to come and visit.
