The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe is an established downtown institution of New York City for over a decade, as well as a tourist destination in SoHo. Whenever the bookstore is open, the cafe will be serving fresh food, such as soups, salads, sandwiches, donuts, and both savory and sweet pastries, along with drinks, such as wine, beer, cocktails, coffee, and tea. All of this is served by friendly volunteers.
