Review:

Paterson Museum preserves the history of the city of Paterson, which was the nation's first planned industrial city at its founding.

The museum is housed within the Thomas Rogers Building, the former site of the Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works erecting shop, in the city's Old Great Falls Historic District.

Visitors can explore the city's unique industrial history through exhibits such as its Fenian Ram submarine, which was designed by John Philip Holland, and its Norman B. Tomlison Jr. and Paul R. Applegate Collection of rare Colt firearms produced by Paterson throughout the mid-19th century.

A significant collection of more than 200,000 negatives, prints, and photographs detail the company's operations, while a 20th-century medicine collection showcases unique paintings of medicine covers.
