The Mills at Jersey Gardens is known as the largest value retail center and outlet in the state of New Jersey, offering a wide variety of stores ranging from low-price markets to high-end boutiques. The expansive shopping destination consists of over two hundred name-brand outlets, such as Marshalls, Saks OFF 5th, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, PUMA, Nautica, Coach, and Michael Kors. There are also several dining options at The Mills at Jersey Gardens, including Applebee’s, Chili’s, and Johnny Rocket’s. Transportation services to parts of New York and New Jersey are provided by the mall as well.

2. Warinanco Park

Warinanco Park offers an ideal destination for escaping the urban feel of Elizabeth, New Jersey by providing a relaxed and rural ambiance in the middle of the city. The friendly and laid back atmosphere draws countless people every year to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities no matter the season. The park features playgrounds, a splash pad, baseball fields, abundant walking paths, beautiful gardens, paddle boat rentals, and a turf and field running track. Taking a stroll along the walkway around the pond is a popular activity at Warinanco Park, as well as having a meal in the picnic areas.

3. Boxwood Hall

Boxwood Hall is a famous historic site and one of the most treasured landmarks in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Constructed around the year 1750, the house was once the home of Elias Boudinot, who served as president of the U.S. Continental Congress during the American Revolution. He was also one of the signers of the treaty that ratified the independence of America from Great Britain. Boxwood Hall was also visited by George Washington and Alexander Hamilton. The house today is open to the public from 10:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Wednesday through Sunday.

4. Nugent's Tavern

Nugent's Tavern serves as a throwback to all that’s good about old-fashioned pubs. This classic establishment boasts a friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and a variety of drinks, including more than fifty beers with twenty available on tap and more than 130 bottles of scotch, bourbons, and whiskeys. The historic pub was established back in 1933 and has been a go to spot for both visitors and local residents alike for over eight decades. The food menu at Nugent's Tavern features several Irish favorites like the Irish pancakes, along with a handful of fusion dishes, such as the Irish nachos.
