Things to Do in Nevada
Reno is famous for its casinos and excellent nearby ski resorts.
Plan a weekend getaway to Henderson, Nevada's second largest city, to enjoy scenic views, visit unique attractions and eat great food.
If you're dreaming of lights, luxury, and entertainment, I’d say Nevada is calling your name. You’ll find Las Vegas at the heart of it all—packed with opulent resorts, 24-hour casinos, and unforgettable shopping and dining. I always tell people there's nowhere else quite like it.
If you think Vegas is all casinos, I’d love to show you more. You can tour aquariums, see exotic animals in hotel exhibits, or dive into history at the National Atomic Testing Museum. I’ve done them all, and each offers a totally different side of the city.
If you're into history, I suggest starting with the Hoover Dam in Boulder City. I’ve stood there and felt its massive scale—it’s a real engineering marvel built during the Great Depression.
You can also visit old mining ghost towns—I’ve walked through a few and it feels like stepping back in time. I recommend exploring Carson City too; you’ll love the living history tours and might even spot preserved dinosaur fossils in the nearby state parks. It’s a mix of wonder and education that I think you’ll really enjoy.
