The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana is named for Chief Joseph Ninepipes, from the Bitterroot Salish tribe of Native Americans. The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana documents over one hundred years of daily life and history at the Flathead Reservation, and contains many artifacts, documents, photographs, and fascinating history about the Western Plains Indians. With an emphasis on educating children, the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana seeks to educate its visitors about the history and stories behind every artifact in the museum. The museum also contains a small gift shop, where families will be hard-pressed not to find a ton of fun and unique souvenirs.
