Located at Ferris State University, the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Imagery has a mission of “Using objects of intolerance to teach tolerance and promote social justice.” The cultural organization brings harsh truths to light with its thought-provoking exhibitions and objects that depict racist portrayals of African-Americans in American culture.

Along with six exhibit areas, the African-American experience is told with different timelines including Africa Before Slavery, Slavery in America, Reconstruction, Jim Crow, Civil Rights, and Post Civil Rights. Admission to the museum is free.
