Celebrating the Jacobean Revival-style of architecture, Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum is an imposing mansion which dates back to 1893, during the hey-day of the Gilded Age. (At that time about 75 opulent “cottages” were built in the Lenox area as summer homes for wealthy Americans). Today the partially restored mansion (which has 15 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and several elegant reception rooms) is home to the Museum of the Gilded Age and is open to the public all year round. You can learn all about the Gilded Age and admire the beautifully restored rooms of the mansion by joining a guided tour (offered daily).
