Review:

Carroll Park in Baltimore, Maryland is the city’s third oldest community park. Formerly a part of Charles Carroll’s expansive Mount Clare Estate from the middle of the eighteenth century, the park boasts some historical significance besides its age. The grounds were also the site of a Civil War camp. Amenities found throughout Carroll Park include a playground, natural play area, four basketball courts, two athletic fields, six ball fields, a fieldhouse, a bike and skateboarding facility with skatepark, an executive 9-hole golf course, the Farm Garden, and the Gwynns Falls Trail. The park is situated in what many locals call “Pigtown.”
