1. Surratt House Museum
The Surratt House, aka Mary Surratt House, is a historic house museum which is named for Mary Surratt who was hanged in 1865 for her part in the Abraham Lincoln assassination. The original 2-story wooden house was built in 1852 and many additions were made over the next decades. After Mary Surratt’s death the house was confiscated by the federal government and opened to the public as a museum in 1975. Visiting the Surratt House is a must for anyone interested in political history of the Lincoln era. The Museum site includes the original house and the Surratt Tavern, both of which are dedicated to showcasing 19th century Maryland life and all the conspiracies which surrounded the death of Abe Lincoln.

2. Mama Stella’s Ristorante Italiano
If you are looking for an authentic Italian meal in the Clinton area, Mama Stella’s Ristorante Italiano is an obvious choice. The restaurant first opened more than 40 years ago and has built up a staunch following of fans who return time after time to enjoy authentic Italian dishes, all prepared from scratch on the premises. 3. Levi’s Restaurant
Serving up the best Soul Food in Maryland, Levi’s Restaurant has won multiple awards and attracting a following of celebrities over the last 25 years. The Clinton Branch of the family-owned business is a recent addition, but promises to surprise and delight guests with all their favorites from the original Levi’s in Mitchellville. A few of the signature dishes that has everyone coming back time and again include their Hickory Smoked Ribs, Sweet Potato Pie, Pulled Pork Sandwich and, of course, Crab Cakes. If you cannot decide what to choose you can order one of their fabulous Combo Platters which all come with 2 sides and a dinner roll or cornbread.
