Located 20 miles south of Moosehead Lake, the Balsam Woods Campground is ideally located to use as your base for exploring Baxter State Park, Mount Katahdin and Moosehead Lake.

The campground is ideal for families, offering many activities to keep the kids happy, and you can also bring your four-legged friends along. Your campsite features full hook-up as well as cable TV and fast Wi-Fi at all sites. On site activities for the family include kayak rentals, a boat launch, hayrides, a playground and tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. You can stock up at the campground shop, use the laundry facility and visit the Rec Hall and Big Screen TV Lounge on rainy days.
