Review:
The Brimstone Museum Complex is located in a lovingly-rescued and restored old South Pacific Railway Depot which was originally built in 1915. When the building fell into disrepair in the 1970’s, local residents stepped in to save it and turn it into the museum it is today. Firstly, they needed to move the depot to a new site, which was quite a feat. After restoration the museum opened to the public in 1976. Today visitors can learn about the history of the railway and the Frasch mining process which put the town on the map. You can also admire a selection of art by local artists.
