The David Traylor Zoo of Emporia may be small compared to many others in the country, but it still provides visitors with plenty of animals to see. Located within Soden’s Grove Park, the David Traylor Zoo is home to almost four hundred reptiles, mammals, and birds, representing over eighty different species of animals that can be seen in replicas of their natural habitats. There are also great botanical displays throughout the grounds, as well as spectacular lights during the holiday season. Soden’s Grove Park also features the All Veterans Memorial and a small train that operates during the summer.
